In addition to our classroom learning programs, we offer a range of extra-curricular activities and programs to support the engagement and extension of all students. These activities include:
Dance Troupe
Students are able to join our dance troupe as an extra-curricular activity. Dancers practice with a qualified dance instructor each week during lunch time for a minimal fee. The Hurstville Grove Dance Troupe represents the school at various functions throughout the school year, with their focus performance at The St George Performing Arts Festival (SPAF).
Music Bus
The Music Bus program visits our school each Friday. This is a term by term commitment that parents can make for their children to enable them to further develop their musical skills with a qualified music teacher. Instruments that they can access are the keyboard, guitar, ukulele and the drums. Enrolments are negotiated and fees paid directly to the Music Bus.
Premier's Reading Challenge
All classes participate in the Premier’s Reading Challenge. This enables students to experience quality literature being read to them and encourages them to read regularly.
Premier's Sporting Challenge
At Hurstville Grove Infants School all students participate in the annual Premier’s Sporting Challenge to promote students physical health and well being.
